Lent Sermon Series: “Sacred Stones: Stories of Transformation

Throughout scripture, stones play a surprising and powerful role in God’s story. They mark significant moments, serve as tools of judgment, and even reveal the deepest truths about our faith. From the stone tablets of the law to the rock rolled away from the tomb, stones are more than objects; they are symbols of God’s enduring presence and transformative power.

This Lent, we embark on a journey through the scriptures, exploring how God uses stones to shape his story and ours. Each week, we’ll examine a passage where a stone — or stones — take center stage, revealing lessons of faith, grace, and transformation.

As we move closer to the cross and the empty tomb, we will reflect on how these stories of stone mirror our own hearts and lives. Like stones, we can be stubborn and unyielding, but in God’s hands, we are shaped into instruments of his purpose.

Join us for “Sacred Stones: Stories of Transformation,” as we uncover how God can take what seems ordinary — even unmovable — and use it to accomplish extraordinary work in us and our church. Invite a friend to join us!
